Security Packaging Q&A

Generally speaking, there are two methods used in our wallet-style blister package. First, the blisters and paperboard can be glued together. Second, the paperboard material can be coated with a heat seal coating and heat sealed to the blisters and the paperboard.
The typical paperboard used in blister packaging is similar to regular SBS, however the most common is a low-density SBS blister board grade. The object here is to obtain fiber tear between the paperboard and or the blisters.
